The dubious activities with which the AFP were involved during theSchapelle Corby case, and the highly damaging media comments made bythem at the time and subsequently, raised alarm bells with many. TheAustralian media though inexplicably directed their 'investigativejournalism' in other directions: largely resulting in a range ofunsubstantiated smears which damaged Ms Corby's welfare even further.Perhaps this issue simply required international scrutiny, rather thana subjective domestic response.This is essentially what has now happened.
